Stephanie A. Lang, O.D., joined The Elk County Eye Clinic in 2013. Originally from Bradford, PA, Dr. Lang earned her undergraduate degree in Biology from Ithaca College in 2007, and her Doctor of Optometry degree from The Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University in 2011.
While in optometry school, Dr. Lang earned clinical honors in primary care and ocular disease at the Philadelphia Veterans Affairs Medical Center, advanced pediatrics and binocular vision at The Eye Institute in Philadelphia, and routine and specialty contact lenses at Woodbury Eye Associates in Woodbury, NJ. Dr. Lang was also awarded the Contact Lens Clinical Excellence Award as a fourth year optometry student.
Following optometry school, Dr. Lang completed a residency in ocular disease at the Wilmington Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Wilmington, DE. Her residency included extensive training in the diagnosis, treatment and management of ocular disease including cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and retinal pathology secondary to diabetes, hypertension, and other systemic vascular disease.
Dr. Lang currently resides in Bradford, PA, with her husband Daniel, an associate attorney for Mattie & Alfieri-Causer, Attorneys at Law, in Eldred, PA. Dr. Lang is enjoying being back in her hometown and serving the community that she grew up in. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, exercising, traveling, volunteering, and spending time with family and friends.
